Social inclusion: MoreThanAJob project successfully launched in Lebanon

A press conference and a stakeholders meeting under the MoreThanAJob project were held on 4 February 2020 in Beirut, Lebanon. The event was organized by Business Consultancy and Training Services (BCTS).

The aim of the press conference was to announce “MoreThanAJob” project in Lebanon, by updating the press and stakeholders about the goals, planned activities, expected results, and opportunities.

A large number of different Lebanese organizations from the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) sector attended the meeting, discussed and added their recommendations especially on the aims of the “MoreThanAJob” project. Success stories were presented, and the needs and biggest challenges from the point of view of SSE organizations were defined: these inputs will be evaluated and categorized, in order to be used also in the adaptation of the best practices.

BCTS emphasized the partners’ roles in this project and the collaboration of the consortium in analyzing and studying the best practices worldwide to implement “MoreThanAJob” project in all partners’ countries and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Public Administrations (Stakeholders) and the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) actors by the end of this project.

MoreThanAJob project, funded by the European Union within the ENI CBC Med Programme, aims to enforce social ‎inclusion of vulnerable, and unemployed populations ‎by applying ‎best practices for more effective collaboration of the social and ‎‎solidarity economy (SSE) actors with the public administration.‎
