The SOLIFEM Regional Closing Meeting concluded after two days (19-20 February) of insightful discussions on facilitating the transition to the formal economy, social dialogue, and skills development in the Southern Neighbourhood, particularly in Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Thanks to the active participation of partners across the four countries/territories, SOLIFEM explored challenges and innovative solutions for formalization, alongside presenting actionable recommendations to ensure the sustainability of the project’s achievements and support the development of social dialogue-based policies. A regional outcome document was also adopted, outlining key pathways to enhance formalization and skills development, reaffirming the commitment of all stakeholders to continue these efforts beyond the project’s lifetime.
