As droughts grow more extreme and flooding threatens communities, efficient water management has never been more urgent. In this context, the Spanish Region of Murcia stands out as a vibrant hub of innovation, with a track record of successful projects and initiatives in this topic.
Meanwhile, the European Union is paving the way for progress with territorial cooperation programs offering funding opportunities for water management projects, in which the Interreg NEXT MED Programme is active, with its upcoming call for green transition projects.
To tackle these pressing challenges, the Region of Murcia is hosting a dynamic event on January 14, 2025, with three key objectives:
• To get to know these EU cooperation programmes: their calls for proposals and the opportunities they offer.
• To provide a platform for technicians, researchers, and entities from Murcia working in water management to showcase their skills and experience in European projects.
• To serve as a networking platform for participants attending the event—either in person or online—allowing them to exchange ideas and establish partnerships for the upcoming green transition project call under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme or other European territorial cooperation programs.
The event will be hybrid and open to everyone: held in person in Spanish and online in English with simultaneous interpretation. If you’re looking for inspiration and partners for your proposal in water management, this is your chance to connect with experts and discover funding opportunities. Mics will be open at the end of the event for exchanges, questions, and new ideas. Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of the conversation on innovative water management solutions.
