The European Union mission in Tunisia organizes the 5th and final screening of the Euro Ciné-Voix series
Saturday, December 07, 2024, at 15:00, at the Cultural Compound in Menzel Rahman, Bizerte.
Feature film: “Icarus“, a fun anime film for children with human lessons and values.
About the film:
“Icarus” is an animation film inspired by Greek mythology, tells us the story of a child Icarus, who lives interesting and challenging adventures. The film focuses on the values of persistence, creativity, and the power of Dreams, in a fascinating and fun visual for young and old alike.
Lilia Ben Ashour, Artistic Director of the Euro Ciné-Voix project, will moderate the discussion after the show with our distinguished guests:
- Nada Daqduq, Professor and Researcher in the field of image education, specializing in animation techniques and winner of awards for her creative work in animation.
- Reem Ben Faraj, Film Director specializing in “stop motion” technology and cinema programming for children, working to develop cinema culture in marginalized areas.
- Jehan Sahabou, Assistant Professor of cinema psychology, specialist in the semiology of the image, researcher on the impact of films on enhancing self-esteem in children in care institutions, and former director of the “Education and cinema” project at the University of Tunis.
This event is held by the European Union in Tunisia in cooperation with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
