The EU and Egypt: Strengthening partnerships through dialogue!

From 16 to 20 February, Egyptian parliamentarians and party leaders visited Brussels to engage with EU institutions & NATO on key topics such as Egypt-EU partnership priorities and recent regional developments. The participants included:
– Ms. Sahar Albazar – Deputy Chair of the Parliament Foreign Affairs
Committee
– Ms. Nancy Naiem – Member of the Parliament Human Rights Committee
– Mr. Anwar El Sadat – President of the Reform and Development Party
– Mr. Mahmoud Samy – Member of the Senate Financial, Economic, and Investment Affairs Committee
– Mr. AbdelMonem Emam – Secretary of the Parliament Planning and Budget Committee

The participants also visited Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) where they engaged with several civil society actors in a fruitful roundtable discussion. The visit fostered frank & constructive discussions, reaffirming the EU-Egypt strategic partnership.
