During the opening ceremony and high-level panel of the Social and Solidarity Economy and Social Innovation Forum, H.E. Giuseppe Perrone, Ambassador of the European Union to Tunisia, and Mr. Tom Ashwanden, Head of International Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Tunisia, shared their strategic vision on the key role of youth in shaping and advancing the social and solidarity economy (SSE).

Key messages included:
Investing in young people’s skills, creativity, and economic empowerment;
Strengthening institutional and multi-stakeholder dialogue on SSE dynamics;
Leveraging SSE as a driver of decent jobs, social inclusion, and territorial cohesion;
Positioning SSE as a strategic pillar of the EU-Tunisia partnership for youth.

These insights are fully aligned with the ambitions of the Jeun’ESS project, supported by the European Union, and reinforce our collective commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable economic future.
