A conference entitled “Investment and economic diversification: symposium on experiences in Central Europe” was held in Algiers on Tuesday, on the initiative of the European Union Delegation in Algeria, in partnership with the embassies of Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic, and the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI).
The event included:
– a review of the economic transformations that have taken place in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic over the last 35 years.
– a discussion of the experience acquired in macroeconomic stabilisation, attraction of investment and economic reform – particularly in the financial sector – in Algeria and the countries of Central Europe
– making recommendations for the effective achievement of the objectives laid down in the Association Agreement by scaling up economic cooperation between Algeria and European countries in all mutually beneficial areas.
The meeting was organised as part of the “Euro-Algerian Partnership for Sustainable Investment” project, launched in 2023 with a budget of nearly a million euros.
