The first edition of the Palestine Online Conference launched in Ramallah

The European Union Representative Office in the West Bank and Gaza Strip launched the first edition of the Palestine Online Conference in Ramallah, an event designed to highlight the growing role of digital platforms in shaping public narratives and supporting Palestinian creators. The opening session was attended by the EU Representative, Alexandre Stutzmann, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Dr. Laila Ghannam, Minister of Culture Imad Hamdan, Minister of Telecommunications Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Natsheh, President of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate Nasser Abu Baker, as well as several European representatives.

The two-day conference brought together a wide range of participants, including journalists, content creators, digital activists, government officials, civil society organisations and private-sector actors. Sessions highlighted success stories of Palestinian creators and entrepreneurs, with speakers sharing insights into content production, audience engagement, and the growing impact of digital work on society. Discussions also focused on Palestinian digital narratives that have reached international audiences, demonstrating how online platforms can amplify local voices and convey Palestinian stories globally.

The EU Representative Office expressed its appreciation to all participants and reaffirmed its support for initiatives that foster digital creativity, strengthen civic engagement, and promote a vibrant and inclusive online space. The positive response to this first edition sets the stage for continued collaboration, with preparations already envisioned for next year’s conference.
