Tunisia : EU and European Investment Bank fund schools’ construction and rehabilitation

Tunisian Education minister Fathi Sellaouti, EU Ambassador Marcus Cornaro, German Ambassador Peter Prügel and European Investment Bank (EIB) representative Jean-Luc Revéreault visited two secondary schools in Ain Zaghouan and La Soukra in the suburbs of Tunis, Tunisia, on 27 November.

This field visit was held in the framework of the School Modernization Programme which includes the construction and rehabilitation of respectively 59 and 384 schools.

The Programme, which has a budget of €220.5 million, is funded by the Tunisian government, the EIB, the German Development Bank and the European Union.
