Tunisia just launched a new reporting portal to fight online sexual abuse.
The portal was launched today in cooperation with the Global Partnership ‘End Violence against Children’, the Council of Europe as part of a joint program with the European Union South Programme IV and the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF Tunisia.
Created by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the portal will play an essential role in breaking the chain of silence around sexual violence on children and their dramatic consequences.
South Programme IV continues assisting Southern Mediterranean countries in building a common legal space together with the EU, with a focus on reforming Southern Mediterranean countries’ legislation and reinforcing their democratic governance institutions as well as accompanying reform processes.
Good governance building, strengthening rule of law and respecting, protecting and fulfilling human rights are strong pillars of the South Programme.
