The WES-BCA project organised its first online kick-off meeting of the environment activity in Tunisia, on July 3, 2025. The objectives of the activity are to: optimise the regulatory framework governing the ban on single-use plastic (SUPs) bags and the implementation mechanisms by proposing legal adjustments to clarify and strengthen the ban measures; support the industrial sector’s transition to sustainable alternatives by identifying and proposing economic mechanisms to support the conversion to ecological solutions and encourage innovation, particularly in the packaging sector in Tunisia. The activity is prepared with the collaboration of the Ministry of Environment of Tunisia. During the meeting, the team of WES-BCA experts presented the activity’s action plan and discussed the issues raised with key stakeholders.
