On the occasion of the Micro-, Small and Medium-sized enterprises Day 2024 the Interreg NEXT MED Programme is pleased to announce the launch of the call for applications “The Mediterranean MSMEs Journey to the Arab SMEs Summit 2024”, an initiative co-organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA).
The call is open to any MSME from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Tunisia having participated to ENI CBC MED projects as partner, sub-grantee or final beneficiary and that are willing to share their innovations in new or improved products, services or processes with the rest of the Arab World. The deadline to submit applications is 19th July 2024.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030, to accelerate sustainable development of MSMEs, applicants can choose between two fields: Circular Economy and Agro-Food/Agriculture.
The selected MSMEs* will be given the unique opportunity to participate in the third Arab SMEs Summit that will take place in Doha (Qatar) from 17 to 19 November 2024. This year’s version is co-organized by the United Nations ESCWA and Qatar Development Bank, will merge the ROWAD Entrepreneurship Conference and the Arab SMEs Summit. This initiative aims to create a dynamic platform for fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across the Arab region. The event will feature a range of activities all designed to support startups and SMEs in their growth and development. By bringing together key stakeholders, this event will facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and the exploration of new opportunities, aligning with regional economic visions and goals.
Travel and accommodation costs of the Arab enterprises selected by the Programme will be covered by the organization. For more information, interested applicants are invited to carefully read the Rules for Applications.
