Applications are open for the CREACT4MED training academy, providing free training for entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) in the Mediterranean. This program aims to support startups and MSMEs in the early stages of business development, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic growth in the region.

The training academy offers the following benefits:

• Guiding participants to create comprehensive business plans covering various aspects of CCI entrepreneurship.
• Providing insights into the business, legal, financial, and marketing aspects of running a successful CCI business.
• Offering a comprehensive overview of work processes in cultural and creative products and services from an entrepreneurial perspective.
• Enhancing understanding of dynamic strategies to navigate a competitive industry.
• Establishing a regional network of cultural and creative players for collaboration and exchange.
• Improving employability and entrepreneurship prospects for young people and women.

To be eligible, applicants must be budding or established creative entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries, based or registered in a Southern Mediterranean country, and have a good command of Arabic with basic knowledge of English. Preference will be given to those with an interest or experience in CCI entrepreneurship and a track record of positive impact in employment, women’s empowerment, or youth inclusion.

Young people under 35 and women are especially encouraged to apply. The training program, consisting of 40 learning hours, combines online modules and live sessions. Live sessions in Arabic will take place every Thursday from 11 September to 12 October 2023 (5-7 pm CET), with a minimum 80% attendance required for a participation certificate. Online modules will be accessible in English, French, and Arabic from 11 September to 11 November 2023.

Participation in the training is free, and successful applicants will be notified to attend the program conducted via iED’s Online Academy.
