In the framework of the South Programme IV, the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe is launching a call for the attribution of grants aiming at strengthening capacities of eight civil society organisations in the Southern Mediterranean to ensure a greater access to protection structures and services for victims/survivors of violence against women and girls.

The North-South Centre is coordinating this regional grant scheme which will support the implementation of national or local activities in the Southern Mediterranean. It aims at promoting the multi-sectoral cooperation and/or coordination for the protection of victims/survivors of gender-based-violence in compliance with both human rights-based and victim-centred approaches.

The regional grant scheme will consist in the provision of a grant and preliminary capacity-building activity, to one organisation or consortium of organisations from civil society per target beneficiary of the programme, namely Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine* and Tunisia.
