Job Description

The Program Coordinator for Morocco is responsible for implementing the Morocco Programme in all aspects related to monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and communication.

Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head of North Africa, the coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

1. General Responsibilities

  • Ensure and participate in the proper implementation of project activities related to mobilising Moroccan civil society in monitoring relations between Morocco and the European Union.

  • Monitor and analyse social and political developments in Morocco, particularly those likely to affect human rights.

  • Monitor and analyse political developments in Morocco–EU relations.

  • Monitor and analyse the dynamics of Moroccan civil society on topics followed by EuroMed Rights (Migration, Gender, Justice, and Economic and Social Rights).

  • Suggest and explore new avenues to strengthen Moroccan civil society.

  • Apply EuroMed Rights’ Gender Mainstreaming Policy.

2. Project Implementation and Development

  • Organise and follow up on advocacy missions with representatives of governmental and international structures.

  • Ensure internal coordination with different EuroMed Rights teams (administration, communication, advocacy, finance, etc.) to guarantee coherence and effectiveness of actions.

  • Identify and explore funding opportunities for project activities. Ensure proper financial management in line with allocated budgets.

  • Provide appropriate financial and narrative reporting for project activities.

3. Information Collection and Sharing

  • Contribute to project communication content.

  • Maintain contact with and between the stakeholders involved.

  • Disseminate information and ensure follow-up with civil society actors.

  • Provide the Communication Department with the necessary information to promote the project.
