The Management Unit of the European Programme of Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 has published an e-book on the “Challenges, achievements and perspectives” of Horizon 2020 Programme in Tunisia. This document was launched during the event held by the Tunisian ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to take stock of the programme’s achievements.
Since July 2016, Tunisia has benefited from the status of Associated Country to the European Research Area and to Innovation, which enabled the access to the opportunities offered by Horizon 2020, the most important research and innovation programme funded by the EU members on the period 2014-2020, with a budget of 80 billion euros to encourage growth and job creation through innovation.
The document outlines the European-Tunisian cooperation in terms of research and innovation and explains the implementation of the association to the programme Horizon 2020 in Tunisia. It concludes with the perspectives: the new programme Horizon Europe that covers the period 2021-2027.
