Yesterday the Anna Lindh Foundation launched a series of Intercultural Morning Coffee’s meetings.
The aim of these meetings are to encourage discussions among journalists, academics and civil society on current affairs relating to cross-cultural reporting in the Euro-Mediterranean.
The first Intercultural Morning Coffee focused on how the restrictions on mobility due to the global pandemic had affected intercultural relations in the Euro-Mediterranean region: how had these experiences been reported? Whose voices were heard?
In addition to encouraging reflections, an aim of these meetings is to generate recommendations and ideas for how the Anna Lindh Foundation can continue to support all actors in the Euro-Mediterranean who actively contribute to shaping cross-cultural images of one another.
The Anna Lindh Foundation is an organisation shared and resourced by forty-three Euro-Mediterranean countries with the mandate to bring people together and promote intercultural dialogue. With its headquarters in Alexandria, the Anna Lindh Foundation runs a EuroMed network of over 4000 civil society organisations with the aim of facilitating their collaborations and common actions.
The programme of the Foundation is focused on activities in fields which are essential for human and social dialogue: Culture and Creativity; Education and Intercultural Learning; Urban Spaces and Citizenship; Media and Public Opinion.
