TunisiaEFI supports the Syrian Feminist Platform
During 2022, the Syrian Feminist Platform (SFP) was launched online, as a place for exchange of information, experience, knowledge, and research and together with the Syrian Feminist School reaching the objective to provide better structured education opportunities.
The platform was designed to address the need identified by Syrian partners to provide feminist resources and data. Hence, it sought to combine Syrian and Arab feminist research and data on women’s rights by collecting all feminist Syrian resources in one place making it easier for knowledge seekers to reach credible resources. Moreover, the platform also provides a free space for Syrian feminist and women ́s rights organisations to advertise their work and upcoming events allowing them to reach out to a broader audience.
The SFP will also facilitate the work of international organisations and donors to reach out to Syrian women ́s rights organisations as the platform provides the organisations’ contact information and location on the map. The platform is supported by EFI in the frame of the Syria program: “Supporting political transition in Syria through gender–sensitive social reconstruction” funded by Sweden
