The University Mohamed V of Rabat, Morocco, hosted yesterday a Euro-Mediterranean meeting “University and Employability”, organised in the framework of ERASMUS+ project “RESUME: Mediterranean Network for Employability”.
Experts, university professors and eminent scientists from Spain, France, Italy, Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco gathered to discuss two major issues: “University and Employability” and “Social and solidarity-based economy”.
The objectives of this meeting are:
– To enhance the quality of higher education and showcase its vocation vis-à-vis the labour market and society;
– To encourage regional integration and cooperation between the different regions through the organisation of joint initiatives and best practice sharing;
– To create the occasion to reinforce the interaction between universities, companies and local, national and regional authorities while advocating an open and permanent dialogue on employability and the business community.
RESUME is one of the thirty Moroccan ongoing projects in the framework of Erasmus+ “Capacity Building in Higher Education” dimension. It is fully in line with the logic of this meeting and knowledge sharing. It aims at improving and reinforcing the role and the potential of higher education institutions for the development of employability in the Mediterranean countries, while reinforcing the interaction between the universities, the companies and the decision-makers.
