Kufra, Libya – With support from the European Union (EU), the World Health Organization (WHO) has delivered essential health and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) assistance to communities in Kufra, including both refugees and host populations. The initiative has provided more than 75,000 health services, alongside 30 water tanks, 32 latrines, and over 150 waste bins, ensuring access to clean water, improved sanitation, and critical medical care in one of Libya’s most remote regions. This support is part of the EU’s broader humanitarian efforts in Libya, implemented in partnership with WHO, to protect health, improve living conditions, and enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities.
