The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), MED-QUAD Egyptian partner, organizes the second training seminar for the members of the City Development Group (CDG) in Egypt. The activity aims to capitalize on the knowledge and experience gained so far from the project implementation.
Specifically, the working members of the ARCHEO living lab of the AASTMT is holding a seminar titled “How to Build Resilient Cities: Training for City Development Groups on Preserving Cultural Heritage and Mitigate Contemporary Challenges”. The training session is designed in collaboration with Dutch educators and practitioners from the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency and will focus on proposing and creating solution for the problems facing cities with presiding cultural heritage.
The one-week seminar will take place from 21st to the 25th of May 2023 in the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt. The members of the CDG, will be trained by university educational staff and Dutch educators and practitioners from the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency. Representatives from the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency will share their experiences in mitigating the challenges in Dutch cities with cultural heritage and train the attendees on the methods of developing such strategies, and the Applied Research for Cultural Heritage Exploitations (ARCHEO) will train the attendees on the techniques of documenting cultural heritage and providing solutions for spaces and cities.
