A regional workshop on the evaluation of cyberthreat was organised on 8-10 April in Rabat, Morocco in the framework of the EU-funded CyberSouth project. The event gathered 53 representatives from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia.

The workshop focused on the benefits for the countries to develop a national report on the evaluation of cyberthreat. It was also an opportunity for the participants to share experience with experts from France, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom and USA. Each delegation worked to put together suggestions on steps towards developing national cyberthreat reports.

CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
