In Lebanon, EU Jeel Connectors are strengthening civic participation and equipping youth with the tools they need to contribute to their communities.
Moussa Kabbouchi, EU Jeel Connector, hosted “Connect: EU Bel Baladiye” at Zahle Municipality Hall with 15 young participants. The event introduced the EU’s role in Zahle and across Lebanon, combining discussions, local project examples, and interactive activities. By connecting youth to EU-supported initiatives, the session fostered civic leadership, awareness, and engagement with community development.
Meanwhile, Walaa Hajj Hassan, also an EU Jeel Connector, led a training session titled “PSS Skills During Crises”. The gathering focused on psychosocial support, helping participants strengthen stress management, resilience, and communication skills. The session also introduced EU-backed mental health projects such as REBAHS, which provide essential support services across Lebanon. By raising awareness and building capacity, the initiative connected youth to valuable resources for mental health and crisis recovery.
From civic dialogue to mental health awareness, Jeel Connectors in Lebanon are empowering young people to engage, support one another, and build a stronger future.
