Over 3,000 young people participated in the #EU4YOUth Campus Tour event which took place in Morocco in March. The event was organised by DG NEAR’s EU Neighbours South project in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Morocco. It aimed to improve the awareness and knowledge of young people about the EU, its programmes and opportunities. The events were organised in the campuses of three universities across the country: University Mohammed Ier (Oujda), University Sultan Moulay Slimane (Beni Mellal) and University Ibn Zohr (Agadir).
The agenda of the events included sessions with presentations from a number of regional and bilateral projects by project managers and beneficiaries, opened by a representative of the EU Delegation and of the Universities; information and networking sessions with stands about the presented projects; artistic/music performances by a local young artist; and an Instagram photo competition.
The Instagram photo competition gathered over 100 posts featuring the hashtag #EU4YOUth and handle @euneighbourssouth and 10 winners were nominated (the first winner received over 600 likes on his post).
The Campus Tour events are part of the #EU4YOUth campaign led by EU Neighbours South. Previous Campus Tour events have taken place in Algeria, Tunisia and Palestine.
