European Parliament President, Antonio Tajani, will attend the Africa-Europe High-Level Forum organised by Austrian Chancellor Kurz, president-in-office of the Council of the EU, and President Kagame of Rwanda, Chairman of the African Union for the year 2018.
President Tajani will open the High-Level Forum, which will focus on innovation and digitalisation, together with Chancellor Kurz, President Kagame, President Juncker and the African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
“Europe and Africa face common challenges, such as unemployment, climate change, terrorism and immigration. This is why the European Parliament champions a true Marshall Plan in the next EU budget, to attract investment, develop infrastructure and an industrial base on the continent, while creating hope and prospects for the next generations”, concluded Tajani.
