Representatives from the Jordanian Authorities, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development as implementing organisation and partner organisation the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) gathered on 22 February 2022 for the Inauguration of the Borders and Residency (BRD) Document Laboratory in the Forensic Laboratory Department.
State of Art Equipment of the Document Laboratory was provided through the “Document Security Jordan” project which aims to support Jordan to improve its capabilities in the detection of fraudulent use of travel and identity documents, which lies at the very heart of ICMPD’s approach for an environment where the safe and orderly movement of people and goods across borders is a priority.
The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) is an international organisation with 19 Member States and more than 460 staff members. Active in more than 90 countries worldwide, it takes a regional approach in its work to create efficient cooperation and partnerships along migration routes. Priority regions include Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Mediterranean, Silk Routes, Western Balkans and Turkey.
