The Audit Bureau of Jordan announced on 13 July the launch of a twinning project with the Supreme Audit Office in Poland (NIK) entitled “Strengthening the Capacities of the Audit Bureau of Jordan”.
The €2 million EU- funded project aims to build the capacity of the Audit Bureau of Jordan in conducting key audit functions according to international best practices. Including: quality assurance reviews, risk based audits and IT audit operations. This 2 year joint effort will contribute to good governance practices and further development the EU’s partnership with Jordan.
The Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom, Maria Hadjitheodosiou, expressed her pleasure to attend the project launch ceremony, stressing that the European Union values the twinning project, and considers it as a tool that facilitates peer support between public administrations, as the essence of twinning depends on the principle of learning by conducting and sharing best practices.
