European Parliament President Martin Schulz met with his Lebanese counterpart Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday 24 February 2016.
Schulz said in a statement that the two parliamentarians spoke about the enormous challenge facing the country, its destabilised environment, the situation in neighbouring Syria and the refugee problem – with regard to the Syrian refugees arriving now and also the Palestinians refugees that have been arriving for decades.
He added that they agreed that the EU must stick to its promises, especially its promise to financially help the country to manage these problems. Watch the video
