On 18 January 2023, An-Najah National University along with Oxfam Italia, organised an internal webinar among the MedRiSSE partnership. During this session, whose title was “Successful and efficient practices in social innovation initiatives – MedRiSSE Cooperation Projects”. This webinar served to present a cross-country study to compare the social innovation strategies of the 5 capitalized projects which compose MedRiSSE (MedTOWN, MoreThanAJob, RUWOMED, MedUP! and IESS!).
The above mentioned presentation helped to improve knowledge and witness changes in national realities such as the awareness raising of the social entrepreneurs in Tunisia, the empowerment of the women cooperatives in Palestine and Lebanon or the development of digital tools to promote public-private co-production.
Also, there was a time to debate how this information will be shared and spread through the national events that will take place in this second year of the project in Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Italy and Spain. Partners agreed in some of the conclusions of the research, for example, a legal framework related to SSE could be the key for a stronger public-SSE partnerships, micro-level interventions build better relationships with key actors or the co-production as generator of a more efficient cooperation.
