EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini has announced the appointment of Ivan Surkos as the new Head of the EU Delegation to Egypt.
The new Head of Delegation is a senior Slovak diplomat who has previously served as Director of Diplomatic Protocol in the Slovak ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and as the Slovak bilateral Ambassador to Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
Ambassador Surkos took up his duties on 16 February 2017.
