The closing ceremony of the European Union-funded aquaculture twinning project aimed at “Strengthening the capacities of the National Agency for the Development of Aquaculture (ANDA)” took place on 8 December 2022.
The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the main objectives of this institutional twinning project, officially launched in April 2022 by the Minister of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, alongside Her Excellency the Ambassador of the European Union and Her Excellency the Ambassador of France, and to present the results of the 9 month period of implementation by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty and the French State Secretariat for the Sea.
The period from March to December 2022 was defined by close cooperation, support and the strengthening of capacities through 24 expert missions to Morocco, involving all stakeholders and 2 weeks of study visits held in France, attended by 35 business leaders and French public aquaculture bodies from the regions of Occitania, Pays de la Loire and Nouvelle Aquitaine, as well as training and development of the methodological skills of 90 Moroccan public and private sector executives.
