The EU in Morocco and the Ministry of higher education welcome new and former beneficiaries of Erasmus+

21 Moroccan students and one Senegalese student from ten cities throughout the Kingdom met the European Union Ambassador to Morocco for a ceremony in their honour before they leave for their new universities. This special event was dedicated to celebrating the achievements of young people, highlighting the opportunities the Erasmus+ programme presents and fostering cultural and educational exchange between Morocco and the European Union.

 

Among the 22 latest recipients of the “Erasmus Mundus Joint Master” scholarship for excellence are 11 male and ten female students from various regions of Morocco, namely Beni Mellal, Berrechid, Casablanca, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakesh, Rabat, Salé and Tetouan, as well as one Senegalese student enrolled at Caddi Ayyad University.

 

They have been selected to further their studies in subjects including Forestry Management, sound and acoustic engineering, materials science and engineering, food innovation, sustainable development, migration, international law, health management, nuclear science, political sciences and European studies and IT. They will have the opportunity to travel to several European countries, among them Austria, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania and Sweden. Some of them will also get the chance to study in non-EU countries, including Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, Senegal and many others. Each student will be enrolled in at least two universities.
