On July 22, the first campaign, “Yalla Nifriz,” in Al Rabieh, Irbid, was launched with the amazing support of Greater Irbid Municipality and local volunteers raising awareness about solid waste management, aiming to enhance environmental protection & mitigate climate change and improve the quality of life with sustainable public facilities.

Actually, 50% of Irbid’s waste is recyclable. “Yalla Nifriz” is spotlighting the incredible role women play in this change. Over the next few weeks, dedicated volunteers will visit 1,000 homes to teach proper waste-sorting techniques. All recyclable materials will be sent to the sorting facility at Emaar Irbid Park.

The Neighborhood Environmental Initiative “Yalla Nifriz” in Irbid is part of the “Cleaner Energy Saving Multi-Use Public Building” project under the EU-funded “Climate for Cities” programme, which is assisted by Clima-Med and working towards a cleaner and greener environment in Irbid.
