Young Mediterranean Voices delegates from the 5+5 Dialogue countries, including Libya, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Italy, France, Malta, Tunisia and Portugal, in addition to young dialogue facilitators from Germany, Egypt, Poland and Romania took part in the Malta Forum on Youth, Mobility and Education for the Summit of the Two Shores.

Organised by the Maltese Foreign Ministry and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue on 24-25 April under the banner of “Invest in a Mediterranean Generation”, the Malta Forum brought together 150 civil society representatives including young leaders, educators and intercultural experts.

The opening of the Forum was co-moderated by alumni of Young Mediterranean Voices and connected to young leaders in remote locations across the Mediterranean as part of the Commission “Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange” (DG Education and Culture).

Members of Young Mediterranean Voices have been invited to take forward the output of the Malta Forum to pre-Summit meetings in Montpelier on 2-3 May and Tunis on 11 June, ahead of the main Summit on 24 June in Marseille, championing the call for “Investment in a Mediterranean Generation”.

Young Mediterranean voices is the flagship debate and Dialogue programme connecting civil society, education and policy-makers across the southern Mediterranean and Europe. The programme provides a pioneering platform to open doors for young influencers to shape policy and media narratives. It is grounded on the positive experience of Young Arab Voices launched in 2011 by the Anna Lindh Foundation and British Council and it benefits from the support of the European Union.
