EU-funded Co-Evolve4BG promotes sustainable tourism and blue economy in Djerba, Tunisia

Within the framework of the Co-Evolve 4BG project, an Info Day took place in Djerba, Tunisia, where one of the pilot areas of the project is located. A large number of stakeholders and relevant people attended the event to learn first-hand about the progress of the Co-Evolve4BG project.

The event was organized by the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies (INSTM), lead beneficiary of the project.

During the day the main topic discussed was the potential of sustainable coastal/maritime tourism in Djerba. Moreover, several initiatives to promote Blue Economy in the region were presented.

The Co-Evolve4BG project aims at analyzing and promoting the co-evolution of human activities and natural eco-systems in touristic coastal areas, towards sustainable development of tourist activities.
