Rafed Jabri
Rafed Jabri is an engineering student in industrial computing and automation at INSAT. At the age of 17, Rafed was one of 40 high school students chosen to be a part of the Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Programs where he went to spend an academic year in the US promoting Tunisia and learning about American culture . He said: “ My experience in the US taught me that when we face our fears, we unlock our true potential.

 

Participating in a model united nations simulation introduced to the Tunisian civil society and he learned about the Sustainable Development Goals s. He became a strong advocate for the UN Agenda 2030 to reach the Sustainable Development Goals.
He works as a facilitator with SDG camps Tunisia where they help young people develop projects to address the SDGs. He is also interested in developing his entrepreneurship skills working with Enactus INSAT where He won the national entrepreneurship competition “Pool Espoir”.
His passion for his scientific knowledge led him to volunteer with IEEE. Currently he is the chair of IEEE PELS INSAT student branch promoting the technical knowledge of power electronics to students in his university.

 

He said about his experience volunteering in tunisia civil society“I believe that getting out of my comfort zone made me who I am today. Every opportunity I took or organization I joined helped me improve my soft skills, my technical knowledge and most importantly grow my network. I am grateful for all the people who helped me while volunteering.
