The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is seeking volunteers to provide support at the 14th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues conference, which will take place in Rabat on December 11th – 13th, 2025. The Atlantic Dialogues (AD) is an annual, high-level conference organized by the PCNS that brings together senior officials, business leaders, academics, media and civil society representatives from Africa, Europe, and the Americas to discuss global issues with a focus on the Atlantic Basin. The conference fosters open dialogue across regions and generations, highlighting the perspectives of the Global South and encouraging innovative policy ideas.
Over the course of three days, experts, scholars, and policymakers will participate in focused thematic discussions, exchanging, challenging, and enriching their perspectives on how the Atlantic could emerge as a new driver of global growth. The 2025 AD will also provide the opportunity to present the Atlantic Currents report, which maps the dynamics of the African Atlantic economic and geopolitical profiles.
Description of tasks
PCNS offers highly motivated students and young professionals the opportunity to play a key role in the success of the conference, gaining first-hand experience in the operational aspects of a high-level global policy dialogue. Volunteers will work closely with the PCNS staff in the lead-up to the event and contribute to a wide range of tasks, including logistics, production, communications, and media.
Qualifications
Atlantic Dialogues volunteers should demonstrate fluency in English, ideally with additional proficiency in French or Arabic, and possess strong communication skills. An interest in the Atlantic region’s multifaceted development – encompassing geopolitical, economic, social, and environmental transformations – is preferable, alongside a readiness to work flexible hours to support logistical and administrative tasks. Experience in event management is an asset but not required. Volunteers are expected to uphold the conference’s standards of punctuality, reliability, respect and professionalism throughout the event.
