I have also studied a diploma (short course) at IHS, Urban Management Tools for Climate Change. I am a UNESCO ESD youth leader. I am also a McKinsey Forward program Alumnus. I founded the Alter initiative, which tackles Alternative Housing and Emergency Architecture within Contexts in crises.I am interested in Urban Sustainable development, Social Justice, refugees and migrants’ issues, Education, Youth and Community Development, and Climate Change. I have written a master’s thesis on homemaking and sense of home for Syrian refugees living in the Netherlands. Moreover, I volunteered at the Erasmus Sustainability Hub.

I was the team manager of the Post-Plastic Generations (PPG) initiative. I was responsible for a team of four members. We worked on raising awareness via online campaigns and on-ground events on campus. This gave me international exposure which helped me a lot. Also, I am a former volunteer with Greenish and VeryNile.
Finally, I launched a Facebook group called “CUFE Alumni”, which I use as a platform for sharing job opportunities, scholarships, and help in general. I launched this platform in 2016 and now it hosts more than 6000 members who benefit from it.

I believe that empathy, is one of the key tools we need to make our world a better place
