Lara Bou Jaber

Lara Bou Jaber, founder of “A Better You” Mental Health Initiative and coordinator of the Elmi Amali Initiative, I was interviewed by CNN Arabia as one of the influential young females in the MENA Region. I’m one of the founding pillars of the community-based Youth Advisory Group for UNICEF Lebanon.

As a member of the youth advisory group in the MENA region for the UNICEF Regional Office, I co-designed the Regional High-Level Meeting on Young People’s Learning, Skilling, and Transition to Decent Work in Jordan.
I contributed significantly to the Youth National Policy 2022-2024 Action Plan, the National Consultations with UNESCO addressing transforming education, and the National Consultation on “Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Sub-strategy for Children, Youth, and their Caregivers” with NMHP, UNICEF, and WHO.

I’m in the “She Leads” program with KAFA and Terre des Hommes. I’m a peer supporter in the Peer-to-Peer Support Program at AUB. I represented Lebanon in various international forums such as the Arab Adolescent Forum in Tunisia and the Arab Youth Conference in Dubai and won the Best Diplomatic award, etc., demonstrating my commitment to driving positive change and empowering youth in Lebanon and beyond.
