I am Lujain, a dentistry student passionate about ocean protection and environmental issues. My journey began with a wildlife illustration competition, followed by organising beach clean-ups and water aid marathons.
I co-founded the Global Youth Coalition, educating 10,000 young people about climate negotiations. At COP27, my intervention on ocean health earned a standing ovation from Antonio Guterres. As Egypt’s youngest negotiator, I focus on the blue economy and ocean health, representing youth in climate negotiations. Notably, I won the Tatawwar Sustainable Innovation Competition with a micro-plastic filter project, now being installed in the Red Sea.
