I am Lujain Romouzy, a 19-year-old dentistry student dedicated to ocean protection and environmental issues. My journey began at age 7 with a wildlife illustration competition, followed by organizing beach cleanups and water aid marathons.
At 16, I won the Tatawwar sustainable innovation competition with a micro-plastic filter, now set for installation in the Red Sea.
I co-founded the Global Youth Coalition, educating 10,000 young people about climate negotiations. My intervention at COP27 earned a standing ovation from Antonio Guterres.
As Egypt’s youngest negotiator, I focus on blue economy and ocean health, representing youth in climate negotiations.
