I’m Rahaf Abu Mayaleh, a youth and community activist since 2014, and an advocate for climate and environmental action for over three years. I am a Youth Voices Ambassador in Jordan with three organizations to ensure youth representation, communicate their needs, and amplify their voices, including the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Balqa Youth Directorate – Ministry of Youth, and Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency. I have also been a former ambassador for the national volunteering platform “Nahno” with the Crown Prince Foundation.
I am a certified trainer in Jordan, having trained and empowered over 3,000 young people in areas such as training of trainers (ToT), leadership skills, advocacy, and various life skills, with a focus on effective communication. I founded a youth space that has trained and empowered over 1,000 young people in key economic skills to enter the job market, as well as entrepreneurial skills. I have represented the voices of Jordanian youth as part of official delegations with ministries and organizations, including at the COP28 climate conference with the Ministry of Environment and UNICEF, which is the largest climate conference in the world. I have also represented youth voices in Switzerland, the USA, Turkey, Italy, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, and other countries.
I established several community initiatives and pioneering projects, including “Rahaf’s Community,” which empowers over 200 young leaders with unique opportunities in the youth and community field to ensure their consistent access to opportunities and active representation within their communities. Additionally, I founded “RahaforClimate,” which raises awareness of green and sustainable practices through interactive videos on social media platforms.
I am a graduate of the “Khotwa Al Hussein” program with the Crown Prince Foundation, which is the largest leadership program in Jordan. I am also one of the leaders in the Global Changemakers Youth Leadership Program (GCYLP), which selects the top 30 leaders globally in Switzerland, and I am honored to be the only representative from Jordan in the program.
