I am Yara, an activist, researcher, and artist passionate about intercultural dialogue, climate action, cultural heritage, and education. Through game design and various art techniques, I facilitate workshops on topics like climate change, advocacy, plastic pollution, inclusion, and peace values for youth and children, aiming to raise awareness and equip them with skills to be changemakers.
I trained 30 youth activists in filmmaking for a cause and used documentary journalism to document the cultures and traditions of vulnerable communities in Alexandria, focusing on how these impact young girls and women. I also contributed to the “Atlas of Mediterranean Liquidity” project, creating a digital interactive map of key water sources and curating related exhibitions.
