The EU delegation in Algiers reports that Med Culture, a regional programme funded by the European Union, organised a meeting on Monday, 15 February 2016 in Algiers. This was a consultation meeting with the Algerian authorities with the objective of mobilising the various agents in the cultural sector. The action targets the public sector, focusing on identifying its priorities and contributing towards outlining its main activities. A consultation meeting with Algerian cultural agents already took place, in Algiers on 9 November 2015.
During these meetings, Med Culture presented the activities it has undertaken as well as those scheduled for the next two years regarding cross-cutting themes such as education, vocational training and employability in the cultural and artistic disciplines, the improvement of institutional structures, cooperation and the pooling of resources.
