TunisiaAnna Lindh Foundation and Egypt: Hand in hand to promote intercultural dialogue
The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shukri, received Dr. Nabil Al-Sharif, Executive Director of Anna Lindh Foundation for intercultural dialogue on 12 November. The cooperation between Egypt and the Foundation was at the heart of the meeting, with a view to supporting dialogue of cultures and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two sides of the Mediterranean.
Mr Al-Sharif invited Mr. Shukri to participate in the fifty-ninth meeting of the board of directors of the Foundation to be held on 24 November 2019 in Alexandria. Moreover, it is the first time Egypt hosts such an event almost 15 years after the creation of the Foundation.
The minister stressed Egypt’s commitment to provide all the support to the Foundation to enable it to play its vital role in bringing people together through dialogue on social, cultural and humanitarian issues.
