Closure of the project “Youth committed to active citizenship” in Tunisia

After 8 months of engagement, exchanges and citizen actions, the “Youth committed to active citizenship” initiative, led by the Amal Association for Solidarity, Development and Knowledge in Kasserine, is coming to an end.

 

A look back at an inspiring project:
Objective: Encourage the participation of young people in the management of public affairs and strengthen their civic engagement.
Key activities:
✅ Screenings-debates on citizenship and civic engagement
✅ Training sessions on the legal framework and the rights of young people
✅ Organisation of a “Citizen Rendezvous” to foster dialogue and active participation
✅ Involvement of young people in the design and implementation of local initiatives

 

Impact and results:
12 young people were trained and acquired essential skills in leadership and civic engagement.
3 concrete citizens’ initiatives have emerged thanks to their involvement.
A space for exchange and dialogue has been strengthened, fostering trust and engagement of young people in their community.

This project has demonstrated that Tunisian youth are the bearers of positive solutions and initiatives for the development of their region.
