EDU-SYRIA, through its component “EDU-MARKET” managed by Luminus Technical University College (LTUC), has conducted three round table discussions with employers/Experts form the Jordanian labor market to present the findings of the “Jordanian Labour Market Needs” study.
These roundtables also discussed the completeness of the study plans for the selected training programs (HVAC [Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems], Electrical installation, Industrial fashion design, Computerized Decoration and Carpentry) and to take the feedback and suggestions into consideration when redesigning/delivering the training for the students to make training’s output more effective and matching to the market needs.
More than 15 companies from different sectors have participated in the round tables besides EDU-SYRIA team from LTUC and GJU.
The Euro 32.6 million-EDU-SYRIA / EDU-JORDAN scholarship program aims to provide more than 3000 scholarships for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians who are beneficiaries of local aid funds (the National Aid Fund, Al-Aman Fund, Zakat Fund, and Tkiyet Um Ali). These scholarships help the beneficiaries to pursue higher education (bachelor’s or masters), vocational education, or professional diploma in teaching. The project also provides training on entrepreneurship support and labor market preparatory courses.
