EU Ambassador to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas visited the Business Development Center – BDC in Amman. He met beneficiaries of our €4 million Syria crisis response project, a joint partnership with EuroMed Feminist Initiative, which helps young Jordanians and Syrians develop skills and address market demands and civic needs.
In addition, a new €1,1 million project with BDC is being launched to enhance green innovation in Azraq and Zarqa.
The EU Ambassador highlighted that these success stories are built on three fundamental pillars: First, the Business Development Center – BDC which offers projects and programs to help youth access income sources and create job opportunities; second, the genuine partnership between BDC, the EU, and the local community; and third, the hardworking youth who have strived to make these projects successful.
He also expressed his admiration, stating, “I am truly impressed by the incredible work being done at BDC. These programs are significantly contributing to youth empowerment and job creation. The EU is committed to supporting these efforts and will continue to collaborate with BDC to enhance and expand them.”
