In the framework of the World Cleaning Day, the Delegation of the European Union to Algeria organised last Saturday a special day to raise awareness on marine pollution, in collaboration with the EU member states represented in Algeria and the ministry of Environment and Renewable Energies.
A beach clean-up action, which gathered more than a hundred volunteers, took place in Khelloufi 1 beach in the city of Zeralda. It was organised in the framework of #EUBeachCleanup, the beach clean-up world campaign, held by the European Union worldwide, in association with the United Nations and the Smurfs.
