The EU delegation in Palestine met in Gaza City Riccardo Corradin, the first Erasmus+ student ever in a university in the Gaza Strip.
Riccardo is a medicine student from the University of Siena and is spending 4 months at the Islamic University as well as short term internships in various hospitals in Gaza with a focus on emergency medicine.
The EU delegation was impressed by his determination and his first-hand experience of the high professionalism of the Gazan medical sector, in spite of the very difficult circumstances. The EU delegation hopes his example will motivate other young European students to follow and study in Gaza through the Erasmus programme.
