The Palestinian Heritage Trail (PH Trail) Trail Development team has waymarked its five new developed hiking segments from Beit Mirsim to Artas, passing sixteen Palestinian villages. The waymarking of the new five segments, a total of 60 km long trail, was completed by the beginning of December 2020. The Trail Development team jointly worked with representatives from the local councils of the designated villages to assure a professional waymarking.

Within the framework of the EU-funded CROSSDEV project, PH Trail developed and published a video showing the efforts that have been put into waymarking and highlighting the beauty of the trail. The goal of the video is to raise awareness about the developed trail nearby communities, and most importantly to introduce the local communities to these way markings, their location and their meanings, as they will start seeing them around their land and community.

The objective of the CROSSDEV project is to contribute to the economic and social development in Mediterranean. It is co-funded by the European Union through the ENI CBC MED Programme. CROSSDEV strengthens and enhances sustainable tourism practices, emphasizing common heritage and resources. Specifically, the project intends to increase touristic competitiveness and attractiveness of less-known destinations and rural/depressed areas, adopting the Cultural Routes concept in selected areas of 4 countries: Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine.
